A Beautiful and Majestic Path to Canmore

Canmore...an hour's drive away from Calgary.......

Was it worth it?
The road stretches on...and on...and on...

The land is barren of shops, but wealthy in trees. The only signs of human life are road signs, the smooth pavement my car traveled on, sparse telephone poles, and the light grit of past car fuel on the path.
A wavy and soft aria of clouds

Coming in contact with the mountains remind me how small, fragile, and simple humans can be. Mother Nature is full of mysteries...with years of histories amassed in sediments.

It never ceases to amaze me that the greenery on the mountains are actual trees. Imagine how tall and how abundant these green soldiers are! These troops fight ferociously against the harsh elements that nature present them. The gutsy wind, the lack of soil, and the limited amount of nutrients prove that only the strongest and the fittest trees can survive. There is much wisdom and stamina to learn from trees.
A whisper of clouds drifts over the mountains' heads.

The lush clouds threaten to cover the azure sky with a pasture of marshmallow fluff. This soft down paints frosty sand dunes in the sky.
A piece of heaven...with two streaks of human error.

It's incredible to see in person this little piece of paradise. The sky opened like the mouth of a fish bowl. The mountains, the river, and the trees made up the paraphernalia. I happily acted as the goldfish. Every three seconds, I was newly amazed by this wonderful scenery. Of course, the water in the river must have been freezing cold. I was glad that I was in the car with the heater on as the wind howled loudly against the car windows.
Is it daylight?

On your journey in Canmore, remember to bring a phone with a camera function or a functional camera. Most importantly, make sure you set the camera to the right exposure. Otherwise, a photo that was taken in daylight can be mistakenly perceived as taken in twilight.
Or is it twilight?

Other than this, enjoy your trail to Canmore. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the view if you're not the one driving.

If you are le conducteur, take a gander and make sure you treat yourself to a nice coffee. The road can be long and endless.

If you are a passenger, don't keep on taking pictures. Live in the landscape! Besides, great memories are not relived through photos only. They are relived through the heart, the five senses, and the experience.
